With about 30,000 people calling Kingman home, Kingman is one of the largest cities in Mohave County. Kingman is a city in Northwestern Arizona that is known for its distinctive railroad and military history, as well as its short commute to Las Vegas, NV. There are multiple museums in the city center honoring the original locomotives used on the Santa Fe Railway and an entire museum honoring the training station for pilots in World War II. Kingman is very proud of it’s history and continues to honor these monuments by offering several tours across town and through the museums, as well as by keeping the remaining, original architecture in place. One of the oldest buildings in the city was originally used as a schoolhouse that was built pre-1900 and has actually been restored for use as the city’s municipal court.
Kingman is home to a great bar scene as well and is home to a rum distillery and 2 wineries, with more predicted in the future. It has amazing weather all year, with chilly Winters and a warm Summer season, ideal for both indoor and outdoor activities. Kingman is an excellent place to call home for people of all ages and has many family friendly events offered throughout the year. It is a short commute to the scenic Hualapai Mountains and a short drive to Flagstaff, AZ for the scenic Autumn views and Winter snowboarding and skiing. It’s also close to Phoenix, AZ for shopping, day trips, or weekend getaways.
